Classical Dressage and working Equitation Experience with Lusitano Horses

 Enjoy high-quality dressage tuition on beautiful, well-trained Lusitano horses with a classical riding instructor 

 Located close to Lisbon, this experience allows you to combine top-level riding with a city visit. Riders of all levels, from beginners to Prix St Georges, are welcome.

The Horses

•  8 calm, well-schooled Lusitano horses
•  Each horse is carefully matched to the rider
•  Ideal horses to learn classical movements with confidence, elegance, and flair

• Dressage arena: 70m x 20m
•  Working Equitation arena
•  Stables and peaceful countryside surroundings in Ribatejo

Riding Programs

Lesson duration: approx. 50–60 minutes

(All levels. I do not watch the clock — the lesson follows the horse and rider’s rhythm.)

 Program A – Intensive:

Ride twice a day

1 lesson in the morning

 1 lesson in the afternoon or a trail ride

 Program B – Relaxed:

 Ride once a day

1 lesson in the morning or in the afternoon

 You can also enjoy:

• Morning dressage lesson
•  Afternoon trail ride through the natural Ribatejo landscape

Accommodation

Stay at the riding centre in traditional Portuguese cottages — a true oasis of peace, surrounded by vines, stables, and arenas.

The houses preserve their original charm while offering all modern comforts.

Meals & Hospitality

• 3 meals per day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner
•  Traditional Portuguese cuisine
•  For stays longer than 3 days, we take you to a traditional Portuguese restaurant

Available all day, free of charge:

•  Traditional cheeses and snacks
•  Portuguese wine, beer
•  Juice, coffee, tea, and water

On days when you are not riding, you can enhance your stay with relaxing and cultural experiences designed to complement your equestrian training.

With booking 5 or more nigth, we offer two guided tours of your choice.

•   Boat trip on the Tagus (Tejo) River, with bird watching
•  Visit to the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art, including tasting the famous Pastéis de Belém
•  Visit to a Lusitano horse breeder
•  Wine tasting and winery visit, featuring a variety of Portuguese wines
•  Guided visit to the historic city of Tomar, former capital of the Templar Order
•  Visit to the medieval village of Óbidos, with time for shopping
•  Trip to Nazaré, famous worldwide for its giant waves
•  Visit to traditional Portuguese leather and tack shops
•  Visit to the traditional horse village of Golegã
•  Art of Falconry experience in Salvaterra de Magos, including a visit to the permanent exhibition

Airport transfers are available upon request

 Booking & Payment Conditions

•  35% deposit required at the time of booking
•  Remaining 65% due 10 days before arrival

Cancellation policy: 

• The deposit is refundable in case of prove impossibility to travel, until 30 days before the arrival.
• The deposit is refundable 50% in case of prove impossibility to travel, until 10 days before the arrival.
